Clean Energy
In 2019, Washington State adopted the Clean Energy Transformation Act (CETA) into law, which commits Washington to an electric supply free of greenhouse gas emissions by 2045. KPUD’s portfolio includes the milestones of supplying coal-free electricity by 2025, carbon-neutral by 2030, and carbon-free by 2045.
How to Save
By taking simple steps every day, customers can keep their electric and water bills down, allow facilities to serve more customers with the same amount of electricity and water (thereby cutting costs to all customers), and KPUD systems from being overloaded.
Conservation Loans
In conjunction with energy efficacy rebates for making improvements to existing homes and manufactured homes that are electrically heated, KPUD offers a Residential Conservation Loan Program to finance these projects.

Energy Savings Resources
One of the best sources of energy efficiency information today is online. Many utilities, product manufacturers, governmental agencies, nonprofit organizations, and individuals maintain websites with energy information that is just a click away.
