CAPTURE WHAT MAKES THIS HOME

Every day across Klickitat PUD’s service area, there are moments worth capturing—a fishing line cast along the Klickitat River, wind turbines turning along the ridgelines, or golden wheat fields glowing at sunset. Those moments tell the story of who we are.

That’s why KPUD’s Photo Contest is back. We’re inviting customers and their families to showcase the character, charm, and natural beauty of Klickitat County and the communities we serve. Photos that include electric or water infrastructure are encouraged.

One standout image will be featured on the cover of the October Ruralite issue — and there are prizes as well!

You don’t need expensive equipment or formal training. If you’ve got an eye for detail and a camera—even the one in your pocket — you’re ready.

Consider capturing scenes such as a sunrise over Mount Adams or the Simcoe Mountains, wind turbines across the hillsides, harvest season in orchards and wheat fields, a day on the Klickitat or Columbia River, or county fairs, rodeos, and small-town gatherings. We’re looking for authentic, local images that reflect the spirit of Klickitat County.

Entry Guidelines

Open to KPUD customers and their families. Employees may submit photos but are not eligible to win.

Limit three entries per person.

Photos must be taken within KPUD’s service area (Klickitat County).

Only original, minimally edited digital photos will be accepted.

Submit vertical (portrait) photos only; horizontal images do not qualify.

Submit high-resolution JPEGs (300 ppi, approximately 8×10 inches) with a minimum file size of 1 MB.

DEADLINE: All entries must be submitted by Friday, August 28.
